drawMD Orthopedics was created under the clinical supervision of Dr. Lawrence V. Gulotta and Orrin I. Franko, MD. Orrin Franko, is currently completing his orthopaedic surgery residency at University of California, San Diego since graduating from Harvard Medical School in 2009. Dr. Lawrence V. Gulotta is an Assistant Attending Orthopedic Surgeon at Hospital for Special Surgery, specializing in shoulder surgery and sports medicine.
A legit app for showing patients medical illustrations on your iPad. I use the AP pelvis diagram to show patients and families "this is where Grandma broke her hip," and then overlay the THA/nail/cannulated screws to show them what the planned surgery is. This is something the AAOS should be selling.....
Ortho MD is a valuable app for documenting Ortho injuries and relative treatment thru illustration and clinical note documentation. It has the capability of saving your document for future reference. I gave it a 4 star due to its lack of cervical spine and cranium skeleton references which are valua.....
